Thank you for your interest in JoyMark Video Production. Below, we offer some basic information and some of our policies. Please take a moment to read this stuff......It's not legal mumbo-jumbo!

As always, we recommend you make an appointment with us. This will enable you to see a sample of our work and to talk about your specific needs and desires for your Wedding Video.

Reserving your wedding date with us: We don't expect or desire pressure when shopping for a service, and we don't think you should be subjected to that either! Here is how it works: When you express a serious desire to reserve our services for your date, we will, in effect, "pencil you in" for a period of 3 days. This gives you the chance to decide without pressure. If someone else expresses an interest in the same date as you, we will get in touch with you first to see if you have decided. We feel that this system has worked fairly for everyone involved to help you to retain us without that "Do it Today" kind of pressure. When you do decide to use our services, a $300.00 retainer will enable us to "pen" you in!
    If you are initially not sure which package you would like, book us for the package you are most likely to choose. It's ok to go to a different package at a later date, as long as the change does not present a scheduling conflict.

Our payment policies: As mentioned above, a $300 retainer is required to hold your date. After that, our "normal" policy states that you must have 75% paid one week before the day of your wedding, with the last 25% due upon receipt of your Wedding Video(s). We do offer an option of a 5% discount off of your package if you are paid-in-full 30 days prior to your wedding date. You should note that we also offer an option of "registering" with us to enable your family and friends to "contribute" to your Wedding Video as a gift to you. It's nicer than a toaster and they will receive a gift certificate to give to you. This can be a wonderful way to help you with video wedding coverage if you are on a tight budget. Let us know of your interest, and we will give you the details and work out a system that is satisfactory to you.
    We also accept MasterCard and Visa. Many couples have taken advantage of this in recent years to build up the "frequent-flyer" miles that many bank cards offer. This can substantially reduce the cost of your honeymoon in many cases!

Church procedures and policies: It is our basic philosophy to remain as unobtrusive to you, your guests, and your clergy as possible. It should be noted that we have earned an outstanding reputation among those members of clergy that we have had the pleasure of working with. Whenever possible, we will meet with your officiator at the ceremony location ahead of time or attend your rehearsal. This enables us to become aware of the best angles and locations for our equipment and to be told of any church restrictions. Please understand that we must abide by any restrictions that your officiator places upon us. Although it is very rare to have a serious restriction, you should check with your officiator beforehand and let he or she know of your desires to have your ceremony videotaped. Unfortunately, there are officiators who feel it is necessary to place restrictions on photographers and videographers because of their past experiences with unsuitable contractors.
    I've heard the stories and I don't blame them. Hire a professional, and relax knowing the job is being done right!

Travel Fees: We must charge a travel fee of $100.00 when a ceremony or reception location is more than an hour from our studio. After that, the fee is an additional $50.00 per half hour additional.

Turnaround Time: We ask that you allow us eight to ten weeks after your wedding date (or whenever you have furnished us with all the materials necessary; whichever is later) to do all of the editing and post-production work. This is where most of the work and time producing a quality Wedding Video is spent and we don't like to rush the job. Truthfully, we can usually have it ready in four to five weeks, but this policy gives us some flexibility. If you need it in a rush, let us know. We will see what we can do for you!
